Former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir was taken to the cleaners during the match between Durban Qalandars (DQ) and Joburg Buffalos (JB) on Friday in Harare.
Amir, 31, was smashed left and right by Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez and India’s Yousuf Pathan as the pacer conceded 42 runs in just two overs.
First, Hafeez scored 17 runs in the first over by Amir with two fours and a six, showing his old form once again.
In Amir’s second over, he was thrashed by Pathan as the India batter showed no mercy to the 31-year-old.
JB ended up winning the match as they chased the target of 141 runs on the last ball of the innings.
Hafeez scored 17 off eight balls. But it was Pathan who took his team over the line with a spectacular 80 off just 26 balls where the batter hit four fours and nine sixes.
Earlier in the match, JB won the toss and opted to bowl first.
DQ scored 140 in 10 overs while batting. Andre Fletcher scored 39 off 14 balls while Pakistan’s explosive batter Asif Ali was the second-highest scorer of his team with 32 off 12 balls helping his team to a decent total which came of no use thanks to Pathan’s unstoppable innings.
Zimbabwe's cricketer Muzarbani bowled excellently for his team and conceded only 13 runs in two overs. Meanwhile, Wellington Mazakadsa was the second-most expensive bowler for his team as he conceded a whopping 31 runs in just one over.
Former English all-rounder Ravi Bopara conceded 39 off two overs.
